About the author

Dr. Rob Stevens is a professional geologist and a mining policy advisor, educator, author and technical director. He is the author of the best-selling book ‘Mineral Exploration and Mining Essentials’ and an engaging and skilled trainer who works with governments, industry and communities. Rob has been a field geologist, professor and Associate Dean at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, add the Vice-President of technical and regulatory policy at the Association for Mineral Exploration.  He is currently a Senior Associate with the Intergovernmental Forum of Mining, Minerals Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) and a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
